I did not see a reset button, so I tried something else.
I created a new "fake" family file from scratch and noticed several more
events than I had. Somewhere along the line, I must have "purged unused" or
something like that. Anyway, under "option" I was able to import the list
from the new file and got them all back.

I have Legacy Deluxe 6.0. The name of the two events are:
God Father
and
God Mother
I wonder if you could add these events, then click on the word "reset"
to get all the definitions back? Because when I click on Edit Event
Sentence Definition and view Wording Options, there are eight options.
The top one is (for example):
[HisHer] God Mother was [Desc] [onDate] [inPlace].[Sources] [Notes]
If Reset does not work, please let us know. Good luck!!

This is what I have done to define this information in my database -
The child's baptism is defined in the Baptism "event" under Personal
Information. This includes the date and location.
If the godparents are in the database because they are family members,
then a "Godfather" or "Godmother" event is added to that person. In the
description, I add something like "Baptism of his niece, Mary SMITH".
The date and place are also added. I have changed the sentence to read
for example, "John was Godfather at Baptism of his niece, Mary SMITH on
24 Feb 1963 at church name, city, county, state, USA."
I have also added new events called "His Godfather", "His Godmother",
"Her Godfather", "Her Godmother". The event definitions include only a
description which will contain the godparent's name. The sentence(s)
are "Her Godfather was John SMITH". This allows for recording of the
godparents even if they are not members of the database.
As I generate Pedigree web pages, these sentence structures work great.
I tested them by generating pages to confirm that I like the way they
look.
This works for me but may not work for everyone.

In some British and Scandinavian records I've looked at, christening was
the
term used and there was no record of birth date so I had to go by
christening date.
I would never assume that a baptism was done in infancy. I was 27 years
old
when I was baptized. (Come to think of it, maybe I *should* substitute
my
baptism date for my birth date <rbg>)

I don't think there will ever be a satisfactory resolution of this
issue.
I can name at least two denominations that use "baptism" for what some
call
"christening"...The United Church of Christ and the Presbyterian
Church,
USA.
To say that baptism usually refers to adult baptism is something with
which
I would quibble...grin.
