Rob, I do not use Geo Locations and do not put in commas except where I want
them following the UK convention ( except no comma after house name or
number) I do not have problems therefore and they are fine with Gedcoms.
Please have a look at my web site and see how they reproduce.

Subject: RE: [LegacyUG] REMOVING EXTRA COMMAS IN LOCATIONS (Was "Removing
comma's in reports")

Ron, Dave and Jack:
I think I am ready to follow your methods.
I just printed off an ancestor tree with TreeDraw and although the chart
looks good, all the extra commas (for locations without counties) make it
look like I made a whack of errors inputting the locations!
Unfortunately, TreeDraw v3.0 (for Legacy) can only pull from the LONG
location names not the short. :-(
So it looks like I will have to go back and amend my Master Location List
and remove the extra commas. (I know they don't push the four level method
in FTM, so over all it shouldn't make a difference right?)
For locations where you know all four levels, do you use all four or skip
counties all together? (i.e. Finch Township, Stormont, Ontario, Canada OR
Finch Township, Ontario, Canada?)
I would also be interested in hearing what other users with a majority of
non USA locations do in this situation (either privately or here).
Thanks again!
