There is another way of tackling this problem and it's free! That is to use
Mailwasher; this is actually an anti-spam program which downloads the mail
from your ISP. It has options for friends and enables deleting, bouncing and
blacklisting but in doing so it allows one to view the subject and preview
the email. Thus it is only necessary to send to your email reader those
which are wanted. Mailwasher is available from: http://www.mailwasher.net/
