Difficult to know where to go from here! I take it that you used the Gedcom Wizard to import the file. There is an option there for unknown codes to be translated into something which Legacy knows. You could also look at the file in a text editor and she what is causing the problem. What really puzzles me though is why the file can be imported into other programs and not Legacy. Would it not be possible to make another gedom from one of these and import that ?

It's an old DOS genealogy program I use on my HPLX200 palmtop. But this imports fine into other apps like Familytree etc.

Just wanted to add that I solved problem #1 (inability to connect on
the internet). Apparently I had a very old build. I downloaded the
latest build (110) and installed it and this one connected fine.

However the second problem persists: the sources and event were not
imported from the gedcom even though they were included in the
exported gedcom. That is much more serious because I have over 1200
individuals in this gedcom.

Any advice or help?

Jeff
