Without having tested what you said myself, could it be that the
relationship is still showing (I presume you mean on the Family screen
over the person's name) because you haven't re-run Tools>Set
Relationships. I know that relationships sometimes "stick" even after
de-linking people (or adding new people) until this tool is run again.
