John, Firstly I would try using ctrl+alt+delete and see if Legacy is
actually running but not on screen. If it is close it and then reclick your
descktop icon. If that fails you might try going to to My Computer>C:\Legacy
and double click the Legacy.exe file to see if that opens. Failing both then
it is probably easiest to uninstall/reinstall.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Legacy 6 has disappeared
Date: Mon, 18 Sep 2006 14:29:39 +0100
Hello Listers
I recently downloaded Legacy 6 and unlocked the Deluxe Edition . I made a
Gedcom from Legacy 5 Deluxe and started using version 6
I last used it yesterday and updated my family files with new names and
families
However today when started my computer and I double clicked my desktop
Legacy Icon it will not open . I have tried the Legacy name in the Programs
List Legacy 6 has disappeared.
Fortunately I still have Version 5 on my computer but it does not have all
the stuff that I downloaded from the IGI over the last couple of days.
I looked in Windows Explorer and note that all the files appear to be
there, so what has gone wrong
Any suggestions would be appreciated
By the way I was using GENmatcher and GENviewer yesterday and deleted some
files from both programs, could that be the cause ?
Regards
John
