Pat,

Since receiving your email I have had a long play with the source clipboard and I now agree it is not working as it should. In fact the edit detail facility doesn't seem to be working at all. I would have noticed before but I have, in fact only used it (the paste and edit bit) to change pictures usually of censuses and I hate to think how many of my files now have the wrong census picture attached to them. Thank goodness I don't publish the pics!

I still don't think it should work in the way you expect though and I am not sure I would want it to, but it certainly needs sorting.

Meanwhile, as the original master source is held on the clipboard until it is changed, I will avoid using the copy/paste since it works fine otherwise.

Ron Ferguson

The point, Ron, is that when copying from the Event Clipboard you don't
NEED to click the bar icon-- and clicking it can goof things up if you
have a different source on it.

BUT when you paste from the Event (with source) clipboard and have told it
to prompt for the detail, it DOES NOT PROMPT, and IMHO it SHOULD prompt.
