Pamela:

I have Windows XP and the simplest way for me is to copy/paste the gedcom to
the desktop. Then *right* click once and you get a pop-up box. The second
option is "Open With" and Legacy should be in that list.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Importing Gedcom

Hi

This is probably a stupid question with a simple answer but I cannot work it
out. When I am sent a Gedcom and try to open it Legacy goes straight into
update mode and updates the system but will not let me open the Gedcom. I
feel very ignorant but can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong as it means
I cannot open Gedcoms that are sent to me via email.

I have been a lurker appreciating all the advice on the list.

Many thanks

Pamela
