Thanks, for the information Sherry. I am looking to upgrade sometime next
year (probably to Vista as well (if it's out/settled down by then?????) but
since I also need larger than normal fonts it doesn't seem as though LCD is
the way ahead at present and I really don't think I could get used to 17"
(again).

I'm also using 1024 x 768 with 120 dpi fonts. It really works great for
me!
Unfortunately, as the larger LCD monitors are coming out some of them won't
go with that "large" of a resolution! At this point, I'm stuck with
getting
an LCD monitor no larger than 17"

My IE is set to normal as well; changing from 96dpi to 120dpi will solve
your problem - at least it has for me and my web pages are fine when viewed
on a computer set at 96dpi. Nor does it cause any other problems with other
web sites which I view or other software, including graphics (don't know
about games though).
