I have just been in touch with HP regarding this issue, and they say that
they have a workaround, and updated drivers. I use the HP PSC 1350
All-In-One, and they recommended the workaround as the update has to be done
in a specific way or you lose the director.

Our HP Director 5500 series (all-in one FAX, scan, copy) did not work with
IE7 on either computer. Lots of posts about this on the internet,
including a work-around temporary solution until HP resolves the issue.
No problems with Legacy, however.
