Hi all,

Just a quick note to everyone who may be awaiting responses from me.

I could write a novel about what we've been through the past 10 days but
will defer for an abbreviated version <g>.  As many of you know, the Pacific
Northwest was hit by a windstorm with record winds (gusts of 135 mph were
recorded at Mission Ridge, a ski area near Wenatchee, WA).  Our power went
out on Thurs 14 Dec at 8 pm and returned on Thurs 21 Dec at 10 am.  I could
do a very little bit of work on my laptop when our generator was running and
our phone service operable.  We had made reservations for a few days at a
resort to "get away" on the 21st through the 23rd and couldn't cancel
without a stiff penalty so we left about noon on Thurs and got back late
yesterday, needing to shop to restock our fridge and do tackle the mountain
of clothes that piled up over the week after we got home.  Believe me, it
was nice being pampered for a couple of days after living in "survival mode"
for a week!

Well, here it is Christmas weekend and I'm looking forward to spending the
holidays with family.  So please be patient - first thing Tues morning I
shall tackle your emails and probably put in a *very* long day!

Brian has done a wonderful job this past week filling in while our power was
out and we were on our too short vacation!  Thanks Brian!
