I did what you suggested - did the repair and found 7 errors but this
wasn't one of them.
I'm still lost as to how to have my children show up with my husband and
vice-versa (all as 1/2 siblings)

The obvious point is to ask if you have checked that the children are still
properly linked to their respective parents. From what you say I guess they
probably are but worth checking.
It may be that in the transfer the file links got slightly corrupted so I would try
File>File Maintenance>Check/Repair.

Could someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong.
On my desktop, 1/2 siblings show up. I've copied the files to my laptop,
checked off the box that says show 1/2 brothers & sisters, but they still
don't show up on my family file on my laptop.
My husband and I have 4 children between us (but not together). Our family
file shows none of these 4 children with the 2 of us.
Am I making myself clear?
Please help
