Dear GeoSci,

Yes! Staring with a family file that is open:

1. Click on View > Split Screen View say YES to open a new family file, and
then select your second Legacy family file. You will now have two different
files open side-by-side.
2. Find the key individual in one of the family files who will be the beginning
point for your drag and drop import.
3. Drag and drop this key individual from the one family into the other family
file.
4. When the Copy Between Family Files window opens, click the button to copy
only the family, ancestors or descendants you want to add.

See http://www.legacyfamilytree.com/tipsDragDrop.asp for more details.

Good luck,

Jim Terry

Subject: [LegacyUG] Drag and drop? Is there a way?

Just received a file with links to my master file - but MUCH more
information. I would like to set up the two family files - side by side - and
drag what I want from the new file to my master file (a copy - of course). Can
this be done? If so - how?
