Hi Richard and Mark
Mark, you're referring to different indicators - the ones on the Family View screen. They don't control what happens in reports.

Richard are you looking in the right place? These only occur in the Child lists in the Descendant Book report and indicate that the Child has a main entry. Whether or not this is because they have children depends on the option you have chosen for main entry.

Also I think you need to be using Modified Register format, not Register.

Hope this helps,
Cathy

Hi Richard,

I take it that you have checked the options
Options > Customise > Data Format | Child List Indicators and have selected the second radio button then clicked [Save].

Kind Regards,
Mark

Subject: [LegacyUG] Those Little "+" Signs

Hi LUGgies,

About a month ago, when I'd print a descendant report for a relative, there would be a little "+" sign in front of a person's name to indicate there was a successive generation.

Example: + 14 M John SMITH was born....etc.

Now, when I print a descendant report, those "+" signs are missing.

Those little "+" signs are helpful; one can see at a glance if there are successive generations for the person.

Can someone please tell me what I need to do to restore those "+" signs?

Many thanks!

Richard Heckman
