Hi Tracy,
I would suggest sending the file to someone who has Family Tree Maker who
could convert it to a GEDCOM for you. You need to know the version of FTM that
was used to create the file as newer versions can read older versions but not
the other way around.
Maybe someone else on the list can help.
regards
Anne

Subject: [LegacyUG] Opening shared files from a family tree maker user

  Hi Listers
I have received files directly from a family tree maker user, not in gedcom
format. The user has problems creating gedcoms through inexperience. How can
I view these files without having to buy a full program?
  Cheers
  Tracy
