I did find the answer to this in the archives. When I assinge a master
source to say a birth date the text changed from black to blue. The CD
Video says and shows the text changing to red (Free preview of Legacy
site). I thought maybe I was doing something wrong.

Is it just me or is the Help on contents and contents back rather
cryptic on this topic?
It's a bit difficult to find, but the information is in there somewhere!
If you click Help when you are on an Individual's Information screen you
will get a page which has this very near the bottom:
"Highlighted Field Titles
As you add source documentation to the pieces of information on the
screen, the title labels for those fields will be highlighted a
different color so that you can see at a glance which information is
documented. (See Customize - Colors for information on setting the
highlight colors.)"
"Customise - Colours" is a clickable link. If you use that link, then
scroll down that Help page to the section labelled Text Colours you get
to the bit that reads:
"Contents-When a button can be clicked to display information you have
already entered (as opposed to an empty list), the button label will be
bold and printed in the color you select."
