corrected. It is interesting what damage a merge can do if you're
not real careful

click on James (family view). Do you see the Parents icon? (They have
gray hair.) I bet it says 2 - one is the Unknown link and the other is
your new link. Click on the icon and delete the link to the extra set
of parents that you don't want. Should work fine after that.

I have 2 databases A and B. A has families from generation 1 to 5
and stops with a son "James" B also has 5 generations, but starts
with "James".
I deleted James from A and imported A into B. I then linked James
from B to his parents in A. So far so good. Now, if I traverse the
new database from the top down, going from father to son,all is
good. If I come from the bottom up, from son to father, I stop at
James. His parents do not show up. I have re-linked him to his
parents and every time I get a message that he already belongs to
another family. It never seems to "take."
Any ideas?
