You can put any two people on the merge, either by selecting from the name
list or by RIN number. Once the merge screen is up, you choose to select
the one (or both) to compare, and the name list is brought up. Make your
selection. You can even select a father/son combination to compare, but a
note says you cannot merge them.
To print a list, just tag all those you want to print with a specific tag,
then display that tag. (In Name List, choose Search > display all > [tag
number]). There is quite a bit of leeway as to what you print from that
screen.
