Just as an FYI, since someone said they didn't recall the original question, it was "Is there a way to create a report for all the births, baptisms, marriages, deaths that happened on a particular date? This would be like an "on this day in history" type of list?"
This could be done, but not as easily. I am back on my new computer which does not have Access or Legacy yet, but let me give you an outline of how that you can file away in case you do run into someone who can help you with Access.
You would have to create a query for each of the dates you wanted to use - birth, baptism, marriage, death, etc. The easiest way to approach this that I can think of is to print each list separately: Births for December 14, Baptisms for December 14, etc. In this case, all you would really need to do is print the list of names retrieved using each query.
If you wanted all the names that had a significant event on December 14 to print in one big list, each query would have to retrieve the name and also add a field which would state what type of record this was - birth, death, etc. Each query except the first would have to add its results to the results from the first query. Then your report could print both fields - the name and what the event was that occurred on that day in this person's life. Adding this second field would also preserve the case where someone had two events on the same date, such as getting married on their birthday, and would list them both instead of just listing the name once, in which case you would not realize there were two events for them on that date.
In fact, I am again at a loss of memory for what this is called, but since there is a very small possibility that a person would have two marriage events on the same calendar date, you would want that query to NOT combine identical result records - there should be some way in Access to specify this.
I hope that you are successful in finding an Access person to help you with this, because the concept is a great idea!
