There is an excellent little program called Stickies which is freeware. Instead of having little yellow notes all over the house, you have virtual ones on your computer. I use it all the time - I have 2 Stickies showing the dates of the UK Censuses and the names of my various FH files on the screen all the time when I'm working in Legacy.
