It is one of the free video tutorials offered on Legacy's web site. If
you don't find it let me know and I'll hunt for it.

Jennifer,

That is probably what I should be doing. I'm trying to keep the
notebooks as small as possible. I have large notebooks, but I've
already gotten three of them full. I followed the advice in the video
and so I have lots of other info included. I'm going to set up one just
for my misc. information. I am determined to get all of those stacks of
folders off my den floor. My wife has threatened to throw them out, and
occasionally, my dog, Gabby starts chewing on the folder corners.
Sometimes I feel like like the old saying my grandfather used to use
when he had about all he could take. He said he was, "craving a
bullet". Its not that bad. Actually I am making marked progress.

Thanks for the reply,

Jim

Hi Jim

Well I put all my paper files in page protectors as I don't like
punching holes in my documents.

My files are in binders and I bought some dividers (tabs is the
word in some places) which had a see through sleeve and a tab to
insert the number. There were 10 per pack, I labelled them using
a Brother P-Touch 1830 labelling machine. (This machine comes in
handy for other things like labelling the cords on your PC.) The
see though sleeve contains the family group sheet.

I like to label the lower numbers with zeros before the numbers
as then they line up nicely.

Jennifer

I sure am getting tired of putting the little round reinforcement
circles for the holes though.

Thanks,

Jim
