Gary, Ron and Jackie, Sorry I haven't been able to reply and thank you all earlier as my PC has been down for some while.
Last weekend I followed your advice (and other suggestions on the net) to resolve the issue but to no avail. As a final shot I opened up the files in explorer using Microsoft Word, as Front Page no longer appears in Office 2007, and lo and behold everything appears to work perfectly (am I tempting fate?). Once again, thanks for your help and my humblest apologies for not having had the opportunity to respond more quickly. Best regards to the best user group.
