Donna,

 Please don't be discouraged. I think you hit the nail on the head when you
said "I am going to get back to basics..".

 If you're struggling with the stuff discussed here then I think you need to
just use and experiment with Legacy at your own pace and come back when you
are more familiar with the programme. A lot of the topics here are really
quite advanced and if you're not quite at that stage yet then I believe it
can be quite daunting. You don't need any of this more advanced stuff to
just do your work. Do your research, enter it into Legacy however is
comfortable for you and, most of all, enjoy it. You don't need to be a whiz
to enjoy Legacy. If you get things a bit mixed up then that's when you can
come here and the kind people here will put you on the right track. 

 Move at your own pace, your good health is more important than any family
file, without it there won't be any file.
