June,

As has been said many times, there is a multitude of ways of achieving one's
objectives using Legacy and, in my view, there is nothing intrinsically wrong
with what you are doing.

It would not, however, suit me if only because I mainly publish web pages and
the source details would appear in the notes for each individual rather than at
the end of their page (or on separate pages). I would have a similar
reservation when I circulate printed reports even amongst my own family,
although in the latter case this is probably less important.

The main thing is that if you are happy with what you are doing then carry on!

Subject: [LegacyUG] Lumping/Splitting or Events
Date: Sun, 21 Oct 2007 17:18:07 +1000

Further to discussions about lumping or splitting sources, if what I am doing
is simply for the benefit of me and my family cannot events be used in the same
way rather than sources. I have been entering things through events and then in
the text part of that event have indicated further details. If I want to check
if the baptism has been verified x 3, I only have to check the notes attached
to the events. Does anyone else do it this way?

Thanks - June
