Leonard, This is something which has had me wondering from time to time. Sometimes I know it's because I'm pushing my memory - not a problem you should have - but other times seem quite inexplicable.
A census jpg downloaded from Ancestry is large (to say the least) and I have wondered if when Legacy accesses the list of censuses in the folder on one's PC the accumulative effect is just too big for the program. Even though it only shows thumbnails it must create them from the large files. To test this I have tried reducing by 50% the size of all the images in the folder and the problem goes away for a while ( more than 50% they are not really readable). I now do this on a regular basis. I am not saying that this is the reason but the cure works for me, Ron Ferguson _____________________________________________________________________ For Genealogy, Software and Social visit: http://www.fergys.co.uk *Over 650 Surnames from 11 Countries* View the Grimshaw Family Tree at: http://www.fergys.co.uk/Grimshaw/ For The Fergusons of N.W. Hello tree shakers, I occasionally get this message when I try to attach a census form to an Event: Lead Error: Not enough memory I'm puzzled because I have 2GB of memory, which is more than enough for any program. Can anyone tell me why this pops up now and then? Or how to overcome it? Thanks.
