Jenny said that she didn't think it was a good idea to have more than one file.
I have my family in one file and I have my husband's in another. It makes
things more manageable. So far we aren't connected in any way. I supposed
that if I ever find that connection I will merge the two files :)

However, I have my mother's family in a different file. I am a first
generation immigrant. My father was American but my mother is German and I was
a German citizen. We came to the US when I was 8. I have my mother's side in
a seperate file because that research is no way related to my dad's side. All
the research is in Germany. It is easier for me to keep these files seperate.
All of my german sources are in German and my place names are written in
German. I have my notes in German and in English. It is just very different
than my dad's side of the family.
