When the official citation is long, I just highlight it and copy the information into the publication field, then enter the rest manually, or I might do some selective highlighting and copying.

No. I am not a programmer, but I image what you are requesting isn't
possible. There are thousands and thousands of Ancestry databases in
thousands of different formats. Ancestry.com would have to make these
downloadable in some kind of format, such as a GEDCOM file....

In the meantime, keep on entering manually!

Thanks,

So, Jim, does that mean y'all are considering making it where we can search
the Ancestry databases from within Legacy and when we find a hit then Legacy

will automatically assign a source in the proper format just like it does
with the IGI?

:) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Michele,

No Ancestry.com login screen is needed with Legacy. Whenever an Ancestry.com
subscriber first logs in, a cookie is saved on their computer. Thereafter,
whenever the subscriber goes back to Ancestry.com they are automatically
logged in because of the cookie.

Well, I am sure they can put the log on within the program to make sure you
have a subscription :)
