This was very helpful as I checked out the web sites you suggested, and I think I'm on the right track. Thanks, Cathy. You and Ron Ferguson give out some good stuff. Is there a good way to save the messages I get? Some I know I can delete if I already know the answer. In a message dated 1/20/2008 8:26:04 P.M. A Google search on "estimating dates genealogy" threw up some interesting sites on this for example: http://www.tedpack.org/estdate.html http://life.familyeducation.com/genealogy/family-tree/45377.html Looks like there may even be software to work on a Gedcom to suggest/add estimated dates. I didn't look into this as it's not something I'd do but was on the first page of links with that search.
