I find that I asked the same question about globally sorting Events by date in September of 2007.
Ron Ferguson suggested the following: File>FileMaintenance>Check/Repair>Proceed and check the box "Sort All Events by Date" This works! But it has occured to me that the procedure may only do the sort for already recorded events, but does not set up the program to take the same action for newly added events. Couldn't this be a Preference rather than a Maintenance item?
