Good luck,
I have found out that it is always best to back up files and I have also
started using Microsoft One Note to organize notes, etc on each line of my
tree.
Whenever I put something in the notes section I also copy it on my hard
drive under my documents and then also copy them into One Note.
And I am looking at purchasing Clooz- I am such a packrat that I
oftentimes forget what I have done and what I need to do- I am trying to
organize all of my data, files and pictures so I can be more effective in my
research. I hope there is a way for you to recover all of you notes. If
anyone can help you its this great group of people.

Subject: [LegacyUG] What Happened With Rootsweb Transfer to Legacy
At this point, I'm about as frustrated as I can be and that's a lot. I
transferred 63,000 names from Rootsweb to Legacy about a month ago. My
Rootsweb database represented 8 years of diligent research. Apart from some
small glitches, the transfer went fairly well... I thought.
Today, I was updating my Rootsweb database using the new Legacy
program and found some missing data from my "Notes" section. Over the years,
I have copied sections of books and related research info into the "notes"
section of Rootsweb... no problem. Now, when I check some of the ancestors
who had lengthy notes, the notes section in Legacy is BLANK. How can this
be????
Please tell me there is a small button somewhere that I need to push.
Since I transferred my database to Legacy, I have added lots more info, so
my old Rootsweb database contains only what I had a month ago. So, there's
no going back.
Oh good grief....... I sure hope someone can help me out of this
mess/disaster.
