Hi Mark,

Another method, which might give you more security and peace of mind, would be to copy your file (or export the data) and work with that for generating the GEDCOM. In that copied/new file, you can delete the data you don't want revealed, so there will be no question of it being suppressed or accidentally released.

Thanks.  That is what I thought but I didn't see this box when I tried
to do this earlier today.  I know I've seen it before, but I don't
remember where.  I'll look again when I'm home and can do so.  Unless
in the meantime somebody is more specific about where this box is.

all you need to do (I believe) is tick the "Suppress details for
living people" tick box on the GEDCOM Export window.
