Georgia,

I have used the "Place" event in this situation:
"Event: Place:
Description: Moved from Mississippi to Texas
Date: by 12 Sep 1918
Notes: Evidence for this is the Draft Registration Card filled out by Clarence C Bond on 12 Sep 1918. He listed his occupation as farmer and his employer and nearest relative as J. D. Bond (his father); location Montgomery, Montgomery Co, Texas."

Georgia wrote:
I have a letter from my mother to her new father-in-law which gives me the only evidence I have of when she moved from Mississippi to California. How would you enter this event? I see that one option offered is Emigration. Would you use this or add an event called Move? I don't have much detail. I am imagining that I would override the sentence and create one that says "Rubye moved from Mississippi to California in about 1939." Can someone think of a better way?

Many thanks,

Georgia Hall Chun
