What I've noticed is that lineages and relationships are calculated primarily through the male line.....any maternal lines are not really reported accurately. Let me give you an example...I am my own fifth cousin. When calculating the relationship between my parents, the relationship calculator correctly calculates and shows the lines of descent and common ancestor HOWEVER.. When I calculate the relationship between myself and my siblings, the relationship calculator traces the lineage through paternal lines and does not show the name of the person (my 2nd great grandmother) who is the actual link. It shows her in laws and grandparents as being linkages...which is not necessarily incorrect but also not all that accurate. Being able to select and/or specify all linkages would be nice.
