Thanks Bill. I doubt that the latter will happen, so I guess I'll have to hope for the former. I knew PAF was one of the few products that supported Unicode, but since some of the characters are already in Legacy and can be added to the ribbon, I thought perhaps they could just add a few more to the existing character map.
