Hi Christine,
Currently only the Birth Records type has the index option though the
others will have. If you want to go ahead now, use the Birth Record
type. The only difference will be the names - with Death instead of Birth.

death record, so I then select Death register. It then asks to select the
level of jurisdiction, which I guess would be "Held at state/provincial
level. However, when you then must select the medium, the only options are
Original, Original, microfilm/microfiche, and other types of options. There
is no option for Index. At, for example, the Minnesota Historical Society,
you can purchase an original, but I can't afford that, so I can only cite
the appearance of the person in the index.
Should I go back to using the generic Type-->Internet option? Advice for
recording this type of source will be appreciated.
