your update probably went into Millenia folder and not legacy as happened to
me. What I did to correct was I backed up legacy file and reinstalled it I
then then went into charting and updated that - bingo all well

just happened to be using charting when i noticed the update alert.
after downloading the update, legacy charting restarted but when i selected
the file i was working on i got an error popup. there is no message number,
just

    "Cannot create file "C:\Program
Files\Millenia\LegacyCharting7\data\DES\____Default.theme". The system
cannot find the path specified.

i exited the software, started Legacy 7.0 and selected charting from the
tool bar and did not get an error. i then loaded the file that failed
without getting an error. however, the message at the bottom of the screen
shows "New Version Available: 7.0.101" The tips and updates tab shows:
    Installed version 7.0.097
    Available version 7.0.101

i suppose this means the update didnt take?
