As for addressing an envelope I do use the Mr. Miss and etc... however if I don't know the name of a person in my research for instance John Smith had a wife we don't know who she is I don't create an entry called Mrs. Smith. Do do I put Mr. Mrs in the pre-titles... there's no need for them and they can complicate the search engines. We can see that there is a marriage fact and put 2 and 2 together to come out with 4.

Allen,

WRT Mr, Mrs, Miss we disagree and I have given some reasons elsewhere.
Regarding the use of "Master" I still use it on the envelope when writing to
my grandkids.

Probably a cultural difference. It just goes to show that one rule does not
fit all.

Ron,
I also use "Master" writing to any pre-teen boy, and my culture is U.S.,
althoutgh my mother was born in England and her mother in OZ.
