Jeff,

While I believe you are correct, I think only partly so.  I'm no
academic, but I believe that the classic way to cite publications with
more than one author is, when first citing the publication to name all
authors, and in second and subsequent citations, to use "et al".

Just a minor point, but may as well get it right ;)
