Subject: [LegacyUG] Pictures & Documents

Now that V7 has added Documents to the previous Pictures, Sounds, & Videos,
I am trying to decide what goes in Documents.
Some decisions seem clear:
. Photos of individuals go in Pictures
. Family stories go in Documents
But what about these:
. Photo of a gravestone
. Scan of a Birth Certificate
. Image of a census from an on-line source
I'm sure there are differences of opinion but would be interested in how
others have approached this.
Thanks

All of the last three would be photos (or more accurately, digital images) IMO. Documents would include anything that is in a text-type file, including information *transcribed* from other media. So the census image would be a photo, but if you copy the information into a spreadsheet or Word file that is a document.
