Am I doing something wrong? Is there a way to make ONE source for an interview with a person and then make different details with the date and still conform to Mills?

I presume you are using SourceWriter?

I haven't created an Interview Source before, but I have just looked at it and see what your problems is! I don't like it, either.

What I would do is create a Master Source for each person Interviewed, but OMIT the date. Then when citing that Master Source I would complete the fields on the Detail Information tab then open the Overrides Tab and copy the Footnote/Endnote Citation and the Subsequent Citation into the appropriate fields and amend them by adding the date of the interview after the interviewer's name.
