Linda:

If you're referring to the GEDCOM discussions in the Legacy Bugs thread, I
think it's a different issue. Because of problems in producing certain
reports, I mentioned that I felt a general "lack of confidence" in my
database and was apprehensive about using it to overwrite my existing file
at WorldConnect.  It's reassuring to know that your upload went smoothly;
thanks for posting that. My first hunch about your loss of some records is
that it might have something to do with a dob cutoff setting either in
creating the GEDCOM or in your RootsWeb admin page. But my main curiosity
is this: Do you post sources at RootsWeb and, if so, did your GEDCOM
contain any created with SourceWriter and do you have instances of the same
source being cited several times for the same individual (perhaps for name,
date of birth, and marriage, for example). If yes to all, did the sources
post correctly?

I'd certainly appreciate hearing about your WorldConnect posting results--or
those of anyone who has tried it since installing Legacy7.

Kirsten

I've been reading some messages about problems with Gedcom in version 7 and
wondered that the concerns were. I am a new user and imported my data from
FTM via Gedcom. Everything seems to be there. Yesterday I did try to
export my entire file to WorldConnect as I have done before but was puzzled
when I had fewer individuals than my last export, even though I have added
quite a few. It wasn't a huge discrepancy, but I don't know why this
happened. Any suggestions? All help appreciated!
