For me, they would be _events_ in that persons life. Add event, fill in the details, then sourcewriter for the sources of those certificates, you would use church records. It brings up the details for certificates and so on. "You may get many different examples"

MY EXAMPLE
Add Event
Box Dialog comes up
Event: Deacon (Legacy will bark at you here, but just type through it)
Description: I leave blank
Date: The date it was performed
Place: same

You could stop there, but you need to source th information.
Don't press save, but press the source icon at the top.
Sourcewriter
Churcch Records
Cirtificates
Originnal
Youu do the rest :)

If you don't wan't to use the sourcewriter, there are some suggestions on http://www.legacyfamilytree.com/Tips.asp Hope that helps. That is how I would enter any ordination or residence and so on.

Happy hunting.

Subject: [LegacyUG] entering LDS sources

I am recording sources for LDS events such as blessings and priesthood advancements and am totally clueless which information goes where. For example, do I tag it as a church record, or as religion, or is an event the tag; i. e. Deacon. I want to use the template but must admit I'm totally buffaloed. If someone would tell me how they do theirs, I'd be so grateful.

Thanks,
Marion
