Those are files that are purposely created BY Legacy and you shouldn't mess with them unless for some reason you intended or intend to delete the corresponding family file (the .fdb of the same name). They are tiny in size so there is absolutely no reason to worry about them. Someone else will likely know the exact functions, but for the most part just assume they are necessary.
