The original poster said he did not know if there was or was not a draft
card, simply that his person of interest registered for the draft. I think
it has been only recently that we, in the US, had an all volunteer military.
There was continuous draft registration for quite some time. Males of 18
years of age were required to register. (Whether they did or not is another
question.)

Good point but if there is a draft card, it would be 1917-18 so maybe
just a mistake?

Eliz - 1919 is not included in the World War I draft cards because that

ended in 1918. In 1919 they called WWI the "war to end all wars". I'm

no one was thinking about a World War II, let alone draft registrations,
so
a 1919 draft card would not be included in a World War II collection.

Ask us to look it up <VBG> and then the event is - to me - draft card
or WW II Draft Card

I
don't have a "copy" of his draft card. I got the information from a
family
website.

How do you source registering for the military draft? All I have is
this....
He registered for the Army draft on September 12, 1919 at Osceola
County,
Hersey, Michigan.
Any ideas?
Thanks
