When I got my new Dell last year it all seemed to work OK until I tried to
install the SP1 upgrade. This did not work and Microsoft were not much help
and after trying all they suggested I carried out a clean install of Vista
Home Premium and SP1 installed OK and since then all programs work OK. This
has lead me to believe that the preinstall  of Vista was flawed.
Hope this can be of some help to you folks who have this problem.

Is it just me, or are a lot of DELL machines being mentioned in 
connection with this bug?
