I'm experimenting, Jane, and THANKS. Do you end up with many books, too???
It must be important to have the correct person on the main screen, right?
Otherwise I think I had "Descendents" of someone from 1500!

Momalot,
One procedure that works for me was to get to know reports one at a time by
looking at someone in my program with ancestors and descendants. I use my
father. I start with the Individual report, selecting & deselecting the
report options and looking at how that changed the report. Then, I move on
to another report. For this exercise, I only use the Preview option and do
not print. Playing with the Report Options area in Dad's Individual report
was and still is the most instructive for me, I thought it was my time well
spent. If someone is hounding you for a paper report, just tell them to
wait until you are comfortable.

Should I try to make one report at a time, rather than an entire book in
the Publishing Center???

What exactly are you trying to do? If individual reports eg Descendant,
individual etc. are required then I would not use the Publishing Centre,
but the options in Reports (Books & Others).

The Publishing Centre is for when several reports are to be combined into
one book.To edit a chapter, highlight the Chapter in the Contents section.

How do you keep track or which "Book" I'm in? I've made six, but it seems
to always want to go back to Publishing Center . . . Save the Current
Book, and I'm never sure which one I'm in.

Also, do I need to make a complete report correctly before importing the
booklet into a publication? These things sure get confusing, but I
appreciate the help. _momalo...@aol.com_ (mailto:momalo...@aol.com) in
