I run Legacy on an Eee 701 with 7" screen and it works fine for me, though I
would recommend a bigger screen, I got mine when the Eee was just launched :)

Subject: [LegacyUG] Netbook choices

I have used Legacy Family Tree on my desktop computer for several years, but I
am new to this mailing list.  I am planning a genealogy research trip and am
thinking of getting a netbook to hold Legacy 7 and my genealogy files.  I see
that most of the netbooks have similar processor and memory (1 GB), but there
is a big difference in hard drives.  For example, Dell has 8 or 16 GB solid
state drive, Asus has 120 GB hard drive and Acer has 160 GB.

Does anyone have experience and recommendations on what works best or should be
avoided?  Will Legacy 7 run on the 16 GB solid state drive?

The Asus and Acer models seem to come with built in webcam.  Is this a problem
if you go to a courthouse or library that does not allow cameras?

Sue
