I think you are suggesting that you will also be moving the software from
c:\program files\legacy\legacy to c:\program files\legacy

 

If that is the case then NO, you can't do that. You would need to uninstall
and then reinstall into the higher level directory. There are items in the
Registry etc that point to the files where they are currently. Also the
legacy program (as it is at the moment) will be assuming files it needs are
in the lower level directory.

 

OK to move data, but not programs

I recently updated to Legacy 7.0 Standard version.  When I installed I
directed it to the same place as the former version on the C drive under
program files.  However, it installed a new Legacy folder inside the old
Legacy folder complete with all new folders of the same names.  Can I just
delete the original folders - moving the data to the new data folder  - and
then re-directing the shortcut on the desktop?  It works ok with the nested
folders, but is confusing about where data is stored (some in old data
folder and some in new data folder).
