Not only is it unnecessary to use both date fields, it also is unnecessary
to use either of them. That said, use either or both if you will use the
information.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Date Fields in Source Detail
For the past couple of months, I've been sourcing all my family --
typically
via Census records. I am confused why there are two date fields in the
Source Detail for US Federal Census records. One is the "Date Accessed"
which I interpret as the date I found the Census record. The second date
field is the "Recorded Date" with a "Today's Date" button. I interpret
this
date as the date I make the source entry into my Legacy File.
Since I find the records and enter them on the same day, both dates have
always been the same.
Can someone help me understand why it is necessary to have both date
fields?
Thank you for your help.
Dave
