Mary,

You see the same flaw I see with Gene's method and no, unfortunately the table 
fix was not included in version 7; however, I am told that it's been proposed, 
at least, to the programmers.  Maybe in version 8, or 9, or sometime.  I would 
have thought the lack of formatting for tables would have been a big howl by 
the Legacy users, not just you and me.

  Gene, IMHO This is not a Table, it's a series of words with the pipe
  symbol as separator.
  And yes of course it displays correctly -  you have used the same word
  in each column, giving the _same width_
  Does it work with this?
  one | six | eleven| fifteen
  two | seven | twelve| sixteen
  three | eight | thirteen| seventeen
  four | nine| fourteen| eighteen
  five | ten| fourteen| nineteen

  If v7 uses _tabs_ within notes to create a Table, I might be tempted
  to upgrade to v7 DeLuxe!!
